Come see VestaFire’s re-imagining of the Pandora’s box mythos!

Bring the family to our Fabulous Theatrical Fire Show- a 30 min fire dancing circus extravaganza to culminate Nanaimo and Victoria’s Downtown’s Halloween events. We are including crazy set design and flame effects! There are 8 people in the troupe, and significant costume, prop, fuel, and insurance costs to produce this large scale show- your busking donation supports LOCAL artists and cultural events happening in your community.

VestaFire: Fireworks and Flame Effects Team

Pyrotechnics and Flame Effects are the perfect way to augment and enhance our fire performance shows. They provide a spectacular backdrop for our larger corporate shows, or a well placed ‘punch’ to our smaller events.  Headed by Cam Bremner, the VestaFire pyrotechnic team is a solid crew of experienced technicians, who can design and implement a spectacular fireworks display to WOW your clients. CAM

A graduate of BCIT’s Electronics Technologist program, Cam is a certified Display Fireworks Supervisor and Pyrotechnician with more than 5 years experience in pyrotechnics and fireworks, both large and small. He has 10 years experience with Burningman Emergency Services Department, and has been fireworks supervisor, lead and co-lead on many pyro projects for the Victoria KindleArts projects. Cam is also a member of Disaster Area, a Vancouver fire and arts collective. (BCIT 1997)

Terry is the visionary responsible for many of Vesta’s large scale flame effects. From propane cannons to CO2 blasters, Terry is always creating unique and fabulous crowd pleasers that add that special punch to any show.  He is also a  Pyrotechnician.

We will also be selling Hot Chocolate and baked goodies by donation to Kat’s upcoming Spark Circus trip- teaching and performing for the orphans and refugees on the Burma border.

Spook-Tacular Halloween Party Entertainment

Halloween season is upon us! VestaFire provides spectacular choreographed fire shows for Halloween events! We also can provide non-fire costumed roving entertainment for indoor venues.

Here’s some pictures from last Halloween’s “Stories from the Bone-Fire” at Errington hall- a 20 min theatrical show dramatizing the battle between Darkness and the Sun, to win dominion over the earth on All Hallow’s Eve.

Local Circus Troupe heads to San Francisco!

Lantzville-based contemporary circus and fire dance troupe VestaFire Entertainment has been chosen to perform in San Francisco’s 8th annual Fire Expo on April 27 2013.

The Fire Expo, produced by Temple of Poi, is one of the most renowned festivals in the fire performance community. It started as an illegal renegade show on a street corner in San Francisco in April of 2005. Hundreds showed up to watch that first performance and it has since become the biggest legal fire show in North America, bringing in crowds of over 3000 people. The festival is fully publicly funded by Kickstarter donations.

In December 2012, VestaFire responded to a call for artists, and sent in a video audition. Then, in mid-January they received the news that the troupe was accepted for not one, but two performances in the show. “We are so honoured and incredibly excited to have been chosen to perform at the Fire Expo. Isa ‘GlitterGirl’ Isaacs is one of the icons in our field,” said Karina Strong, troupe co-ordinator. Isaacs is the co-ordinator of the Expo and founder of Temple of Poi. Strong, along with performer Katlan Irvine, will perform a fire hoop and fire staff duet, and Irvine is slated to perform a solo with fire poi. “For Kat to get offered a solo spot on that stage is amazing,” said Strong.

VestaFire began in 2010, and is central Vancouver Island’s only professional circus and fire dance troupe, providing spectacular entertainment for corporate and private parties, costumed stilters for festivals, and teaching circus themed summer camps. They travelled to Thailand in 2012 with Spark! Circus, performing in hospitals, refugee camps and orphanages, and will be performing this July at both Vancouver Island Music Festival, and the International Busking Festival in Victoria.

VestaFire was excited to be involved in the Downtown Courtenay Business Association’s Winterfest celebrations on Friday! We performed a spectacular corporate gala fire show, and provided roving entertainment as our Illuminated Angel Stilt Dancer!

We’d like to thank all our volunteers, cast and crew- I’m so proud of all of us!! Not only was it a great ‘show’ for the public, but behind the scenes was very smooth and professional. Our dip kit station ran like clockwork, and our ever watchful fire safety crew were vigilante and at-the-ready. The new propane cannon worked like a charm, and the crowd LOVED the fireballs- especially when we wheeled it out onto centre stage at the finale!! A GREAT show, and we’ve already received many more ‘likes’ and comments from the audience on our facebook page- as well as some great fan Photos! Thank you so much!

We had an amazing show on Aug 4th 2012 for the Parksville Beach Festival! Shaw TV came and filmed the show, as well as interviewed us. We’re so excited to share the segment with you all! Here it is!

We were joined by several guest performers (Ally and Silvan from our Brave Girls summer camp doing Acrobatic Stilting, and Julie doing Fire Staff! As well, as our friend Terry from Saltspring Island- he brought the Propane Cannon with a special surprise- he incorporated the the VestaFire logo into the cannon’s pilot flame!
